I love Nobu, but it’s too expensive for my friends and I to casually dine at. That’s why there’s restaurant week! Still pricey but much more doable, their $42 three course meal will quench all of your sushi cravings in high quality fashion. There are three options for both the appetizer and mains, and for dessert, there are two mini adorable tartlettes to choose from. While it didn’t produce the same number of foodgasms I would normally experience when ordering a la carte at Nobu, it was still delicious!
I started with the fluke sashimi topped with miso powder and covered in their signature ponzu sauce.– Super refreshing and light. My friend had the miso cod lettuce cups, one of my absolute favorites! The crisp lettuce cups balance out the intensely rich, melt-in-your mouth fish, and not to mention, make it a fun finger food.
For the main, we both ordered the sushi assortment. One salmon roll with six other vibrant pieces of sushi. It was the perfect quantity of food. No need to unbutton my pants to make room for dessert. (Or maybe that’s because I’ve been hitting the gym!)
With every bite, we rotated between the rhubarb jasmine tartlette made with white chocolate jasmine tea cream and rhubarb raspberry compote, and the caramel miso tartlette served with dry miso caramel cream and tangy, apricot lime compote. Small in size, but big in flavor, they were the perfect end to the mini sushi feast.
There are two days left so hurry and get your sush on! At $29 their lunch is even more affordable!
